1. WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident in what you're wearing—that's when the most genuine, relaxed moments happen, and those are always my favourite photographs. I also want your individuality to shine through, so don't feel like you have to fit into one particular style. Neutral tones such as beige, white and cream are always a beautiful, timeless choice, but they're certainly not the only option. Warm earthy tones, white tees and denim, soft blues, all black, or a thoughtfully coordinated colour palette can photograph just as beautifully. The best choice often depends on your session location, the season and the overall look you're hoping to achieve.
If you're unsure what to wear or would like a little guidance, I'm always more than happy to help. Whether it's choosing colours, coordinating outfits for the family or deciding between a few options, I'd love to help you create a look that feels authentic to you and photographs beautifully.
2. DO YOU PHOTOSHOP IMAGES PROVIDED IN YOUR GALLERIES?
Every image in your gallery is carefully edited to reflect my signature style—soft, natural, and timeless. My goal is to enhance each photograph while staying true to the people in it, preserving genuine expressions and the features that make you uniquely you. Practically, that means I do not use Photoshop to edit appearances. If you've chosen me as your photographer, I hope it's because you connect with the look and feel of my work. Your final gallery will be edited in the same style showcased throughout my portfolio and social media to ensure a cohesive and consistent finish.
3. DO YOU PROVIDE THE ORIGINAL RAW FILES?
Your final gallery will include the very best professionally edited images from your session, ready for you to download, print and treasure for years to come. Thank you for understanding and trusting my creative vision.
4. WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING POLICY?
I'm a mum myself, so I totally understand that things happen and sometimes plans need to change. If you're unable to go ahead with your scheduled session, please let me know as soon as possible so we can discuss the best way forward. Cancellations made 3 days or more before your session may transfer the booking fee to a future session. Cancellations made with less than 3 days' notice may result in the booking fee being forfeited, as your session time has been reserved exclusively for you and is unlikely to be filled at short notice. My goal is always to be as flexible and understanding as possible, so please just reach out so we can find the best outcome for everyone whilst keeping your experience stress free.
5. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER ISN'T GREAT ON THE DAY OF OUR PHOTOSHOOT?
If it's raining, I'm more than happy to reschedule your session to another date so we can capture your memories in the most enjoyable conditions possible. Any decision to postpone due to weather will always be made together, taking into account the forecast, location, and availability. My priority is ensuring you feel relaxed, comfortable, and able to enjoy your session, while creating the beautiful images you deserve.
6. I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF A CAMERA...
You're not alone - even I prefer being behind the camera than in front of it! My goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible in our session. You can speak freely with me about what feels right for you and how you're feeling throughout our time together. I favour capturing natural moments, so I won't be asking you to smile at the camera for every shot, but I will help to loosely "pose" you and offer some techniques to get the shot.
7. WHAT IF MY TINY HUMANS OR FUR BABIES WON'T COOPERATE?
I've got two tiny humans and two fur babies myself, so I understand this experience first hand. I want all participants to feel relaxed and I'm more than happy for family sessions to be child-led and flexible.
